Kota Doria

The discrete Kota doria weave originated in Mysore was later brought from Mysore to Rajasthan. The weavers involved in this craft were called as Masurias and the Kota doria sarees have since then been also called as Kota Masuria sarees. The Kota doria, made on the traditional pit looms, has a very distinct look- the square patterns which are referred to as ‘khats’.The Kota doria is the finest open weave fabric of India

Hand Block Printing

Wooden hand block stamping is one of the oldest arts alive. It is believed to have originated in China around AD220. Carved wooden blocks are dipped in color trays and hand pressed on carefully stretched and pinned fabric repeatedly in required pattern. The color absorption and its depth slightly varies each time a block is pressed on the fabric. The variation results in an imperfectly perfect, unique Block Art
